Every bottle
worth remembering.
Vinote is a wine journal for people who keep meaning to write it down. Snap the label, add a line about it, and the bottle is yours to find again — years later, in a restaurant, mid-conversation.
Free to start, with every feature available from the first bottle. Cancel any time.
Good evening, Alex
My Journal
Reads the label for you
Name, producer, vintage, grape — filled in from one photo.
Notes in your own words
One free-text field. No forced tasting-grid vocabulary.
Ask it anything, later
Plain questions about wine — and about your own bottles.
How it works
Three taps between the glass and the journal.
Our aim is to make capturing the moment as simple as possible. Take the photo, add your rating and notes, then save. That's it.
Snap the label
Point the camera at the bottle. Vinote reads the wine, the producer, the vintage and the grape, and fills the entry in for you. Correct anything it got wrong in a tap.
Say what you thought
Five stars and a sentence is plenty. Type it, or hold the mic and talk — Vinote transcribes as you speak, which is easier across a noisy table.
Find it again
Search by wine, producer, region or vintage — or ask in plain English and let Vinote go through the journal for you.
Ask Vinote
A wine expert that has read your journal.
Ask about wine in general, or about the bottles you've logged and loved. Vinote answers from your own history — the Rioja you had last summer, the reds you rate highest, whether you actually liked that producer.
Point it at a restaurant wine list and it will tell you what's worth ordering, given what you like.
Every answer shows which of your wines it drew on, so you can check its working.
There on the free plan too — unlimited once you upgrade.
Two, both in July. You gave the Tondonia Reserva 2011 five stars — “tastes like a library smells” — and the Muga Reserva four. Tondonia is the one you kept talking about.

Your Wine Journey
Grapes you rate highest
Palate Profile
A picture of your taste, drawn from your own journal.
Not what's popular — what you rate highest. The grapes and regions you keep coming back to, the split between reds and whites, the wines you scored best. It sharpens with every entry, and it starts on day one from a one-minute palate quiz you can skip.
Most people discover they have a much narrower taste than they thought. That's useful information in a restaurant.
The smaller things you'll actually use.
Voice notes
Talk instead of typing. Vinote transcribes as you go, so the note lands while the wine is still in the glass.
Share a bottle
Send any entry as a link — the label, your rating and your note, laid out properly for whoever asked.
Buy again
The bottles you rated highest, kept one tap away for the next shop or wine list.
Dark mode
A journal you can read across a candlelit table without lighting up the whole restaurant.
What you paid
Record the price in your own currency, and see what you're happy paying for the wines you love.

Questions people ask
Do I need to know anything about wine?
No. A rating and a sentence in your own words is a complete entry. Vinote fills in the technical detail from the label so you never have to type "appellation" into a form.
Does it work on a restaurant wine list?
Yes — photograph the list and ask Vinote to help you choose. It reads the page and points at the bottles most likely to suit what you've enjoyed before.
Is my journal private?
Your journal is yours. There's no feed, no followers and nothing public unless you deliberately share a single bottle as a link — and you can delete your account and its data whenever you want.
What happens if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. Everything you've logged stays readable, searchable and shareable — you're simply back to the free plan for adding new ones.
